Our Impact

Less Than One Year Old. The Work Has Already Started.

Seen & Heard launched with a clear mandate: build the national political infrastructure for young Americans that has never existed at scale. Here is what that looks like after year one.

What Seen & Heard Has Built

  • Founded and operational as both a 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) national organization, the dual structure that enables charitable programs and direct policy engagement simultaneously.

  • Youth Board of Directors established with young people ages 15–25 in governance roles with real authority alongside adult staff.

  • Active programs in North Carolina, New York, Texas, and Washington, DC, with California expansion underway.

  • Partnerships established with First Focus on Children, Riley's Way Foundation, District C, and Upstream Works.

  • Youth Ambassador Program and Fellows Program launched with participants actively engaged across states.

  • Heard Hub live as the digital entry point to the full engagement ladder.

Where We're Working

Seen & Heard's primary focus is federal policy advocacy, targeting the budget decisions and legislative processes that shape outcomes for young Americans at the national level. At the same time, we believe federal change is built on grassroots engagement, and we actively support youth advocates working in their own communities and states. Young people from more than seven states are currently engaged in Seen & Heard's programs, with that number growing as the organization expands its national footprint.

Transparency Is How We Operate

Seen & Heard is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity with the financial transparency obligations that designation requires. Our remote organizational model minimizes administrative overhead and directs a greater percentage of every donation to program delivery.

Research from CIRCLE at Tufts University consistently demonstrates that structured civic participation programs improve long-term civic behaviors, build measurable leadership pathways, and produce real policy influence over time. Seen & Heard's tiered program model is built on that evidence base.
